Mrs. Andrea Myers-DeRamus is the founder and director of Chalkboard Swag Academy, a K–5 tutoring and enrichment program rooted in compassion, high expectations, and playful learning. She is a certified educator in Georgia and Alabama, with more than 16 years of experience in teaching and tutoring and over 2 years of hands-on experience working with robotics alongside young learners. Mrs. Myers-DeRamus brings a rare combination of deep instructional expertise and innovative STEM integration to every lesson.

Her teaching approach blends hands-on STEM (robotics and coding), differentiated literacy and math strategies, and strengths-based support for learners with diverse needs. Mrs. Myers-DeRamus designs lessons that are standards-aligned and standards-smart—challenging gifted students, scaffolding for learners with IEPs, and creating developmentally appropriate pathways for early elementary students. She believes every child embodies SWAG—Scholars who are Worthy, Ambitious, and driven by meaningful Goals—and that these qualities deserve to be seen, celebrated, and intentionally developed.
